Our Birdhouses
Our birdhouses are painted with high quality, fade reisitant products and sealed with exterior polyurethane and come ready to hang. Over time, it is normal for there to be some fading, particularly if the birdhouses are hung in full sun. We recommend that once a year the birdhouses be given a fresh coat of polyurethane sealer. And remember, gourds are a natural plant product, so excessive moisture can damage your birdhouse.
We do not usually put perches on our birdhouses because the birds don't need them, and they provide easier access for predators. Should you desire a perch for your birdhouse, let us know and we will install one for you for an additional $5.

Yes, birds really do nest in gourds!
This is one of our birdhouses in our back yard. Look closely and you will see the mother bird is feeding her baby. This gourd has been home to many bird families over the years. The main factor influencing the bird's decision to nest in the gourd is the habitat around your birdhouse. For more information about attracting birds to your yard, click here. |
